I am pushing 170k on original injectors. At least I think they are original. How do you know if you have stock injectors? Anyway with the mods I have on my truck, what stage of injector can I get away with? I am running a airtex 7153 lift pump. 16psi idle, 12 wot. I do have a different turbo with the banks setup. I run 40+ boost when I get on it. The truck takes awhile to spool up. Seems to be starving for fuel. I am think a rv275 or ddp 50hp injector. Am I about right? My transmission has a aftermarket converter but basically stock.

Injector selection

You mentioned different turbo. Are you talking about the "Quick Turbo" from banks or did you change or purchase the wheel itself. If you truck is a HX 35 with a stock wheel( i believe its a 52) your just creating heat. Some else may chime in, but I think there only rated for about 32 to 35 psi. Look at my sig, Before I changed my turbo, had some of the same issues. I found doing both helped tremendously. If you just put in larger injectors and you cant get the air movement to burn them... just high egts and black smoke. Good Luck

I'd not go farther than RV275s or 80hp injectors before I started looking at a DTT replacement trans. You have a lot of miles on a trans that caused the engine to be de-rated at the factory so it did not get torn up.

Thanks,

I don't need transmission problems. Been through this a couple of times. Is the RV300 a stage 2 injector? I probably do not want more then 75 hp upgrade, or I am looking for problems with fuel and transmission.

Ive got a set of injectors with the edge stage two nozzels (75 horse) that had seveny thousand when i changed the nozzels and a hundred thousand miles when i pulled them. Let me know if your interested in buying them

I went with the RV275 injectors and have plenty of good performance. Stock transmission with new clutch bands and the upgrades in my sig.

I feel that if I stomp it now on a regular basis, I will be buying a new transmission. I go the fail safe route, easy does it, I will get there when I get there.
