Best place to buy Oilguard bypass kit?

Ok. For a while now I have been looking for used/new injectors but haven't been able to make up my mind as to what kind and what size to go with. From Diesel Dynamics, Bully Dog, and EDM Mach Series, ( tell me if there are any others I may have missed or forgotten about ) I want something in the 80-100 Horse injectors, still running the stock clutch and just for now going to use the Boost fooler from the EZ until the clutch upgrade can be afforded. Are there any major differences in any of these? SMOKE is of no concern and I tow under 5-7000, but not much. This truck is more of a "Toy" so to speak, but it is used. Talk to me... ... ... :)

This BOMBING thing is gettin addictive..... :D :D

370's !

I think Pier's has the 370's on SALE!

Use the AFC and the FUEL plate to control the

EGT's, POWWWWER and SMOKE.

You will be able to make smoke fer sure.

Cuda,

Nope, the plate won't work on your truck.

I love my stage II's. I haven't driven them in warm weather yet so I can't tell you how the smoke is, but so far it is very managable. Power is very nice and smooth. I hear EDM's are great injectors but I couldn't pass these up. I don't have any box on the truck yet (saving for an edge comp!).

Injectors are a sweet upgrade on an ETH.

My buddy has an ETH with a set of III's and a TST PM3. HE can make the road disappear. Gets really hot, though.

Cuda,

don't forget that an advertised 80hp injector for an ETC is going to give you almost 90HP in your ETH. YOu might see 115 or so with a 100hp injector.

-Jason

Right Jason. DD Stage 2's will make 90+ in your ETH. Stage 3's will make 115+, but you will need a larger turbo to support EGT's with that kind of power.

First, you really need to decide what power level you want to be at. Make your total package design around that - and plan in some growing room for more power later.

I would plan for more power than what you first want, because the torque bug can hit hard. Dont under plan, because you will spend more money upgrading twice.

Im sure the EDM injectors are great, but I am very happy w/ the DD3's, and they have been proven w/ time to be reliable.

I started out wanting slight mods, and everytime I add something, always end up wishing Id gone to the next step higher. Now I want DD super mentals.

Have heard alot of negatives about towing w/ 3's (which your not worried about, but just to illustrate the point of what others think, may not be what you find), but the times that I have towed at 18k gvw, had no problems. Im glad I didnt settle for 2's, although they may be one of the best all-around injectors available (great for towing, smooth response, not much smoke, in use in alot of trucks, without problems).

There is no right or wrong, just different opinions, but dont under cut yourself. Think big.

DON M's Injectors ROCK!!!!!

I installed Don M's Mach 6 injectors and they are nice. Even as a Mach 6 they smoke only a little more than my DDIII's did. They are even very streetable.

I would think his Mach 2 or 3 would be great for you. Best thing is to PM him and get his input.

James

I think Enterprise has some good prices on EDM injectors. I have a set and like them very well, but have not towed heavy in the summer yet to see how hot they will be. Give them a call and compare prices to the others you already have listed.

I just recently installed my Bully Dog III's and really like the increased response:D Sometimes I just wonder why the factory didn't just make them this way! But, back on subject, I do really like the injectors, and with just the boost fooler, no money for really anything else, I don't really see much smoke, unless I want it, and I haven't towed yet, but can definitely tell a difference, in EGT's, ya really gotta keep an eye on them if ya wanna mess around, but they are fun to play with, that's for sure! In fact, I just messed with some guy in a LX mustang the other night, and he didn't know what hit him, he had the greatest expression on his face, when this 7000 lb truck just smoked him, every pun intented. Yeah, I know its just an LX, but we both have a six, and I weigh more, so it evens out, right? Besides, I didn't even have my boost fooler on at the time, and was only running 22 lbs of boost. Good luck and God Bless, James

what kind of turbo or turbos are you running to got from 3's to mach 6's? just curious!;)

I am curious here if I go with say BD III's or DDIII"s , is it correct to say the the stock Turbo cant handle it? What would be the next logical step for a turbo for III's ? I have to agree with shortshift on this one as I don't want to go too small and then have to re-upgrade later. I just want to do it right the first time I guess. So, I think I want to be somewhere around 400-450 when all is said and done. In the EDM series injector, what would be the best option? Thanks

Don

Cuda, when that was a popular setup, we used a HX-40. Now with the Jammer and it's better spoolup characteristics, I'd recommend that.

Mach 3 EDM are rated 125-140HP - there are 2 versions available and the torque will make you :D

KsB1B and B2 twins...

These are very streetable with the twins... .

I would reccommend Don M Mach 3's for a "normal" upgraded single turbo like a KsB1B or Hx40.
