Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Injector supply fittings leaking!

I just went through the fuel return line replacement thing, and consequently had air in the system. I pumped the primer until it squeaked, and the engine started okay, but was missing slightly under power. I then cracked the injector supply line fittings to bleed out any remaining air. NOW THEY LEAK !



The book says 22 ft-lbs, but it took a lot more than that to break them loose.



Any ideas on how to get these to seal up again?

I hope clyde got it figgered out. I'm posting this for those folks like me who are lost in the "search" engine we have. It's a funny critter.



Injector supply lines are steel/steel. They are tightened properly when they quit leaking. Torque can't be accurately measured with common tools when dealing with line fittings. The proper axis isn't available.



Nonetheless, snug 'em up, let 'em bleed a little, then tighten enough to stop the leak. Tha's my rule.

I use a ¾" crows foot (Not correct size for the fitting, but works fine) a 6" 3/8" drive extension, a 3", and no extension for some of the fittings. I use Crapsman Torque wrench. Torque them to 22 ft lbs and never had one leak.



I would try loosening them and re-torqueing them.
