injector tips

Has anyone ever put a set of "370" tips in our style of injector bodies? I would like to drop in a set of injectors that flow better than stock, have the correct spray angle, and don't smoke as bad at idle. Just thought I would ask if anyone has ever tried it before I order any tips. Thanks for any input.

Hey dzl'... you been quiet lately... must be doing some tinkering eh...

I have not tried the 370 swap and off the top of my head I don't recall anyone that has.

I wonder how they'd perform in our engine configuration.

370 SMOKERS

HELLO DZL', At the present I am running a set of 370's in my 92. I had a local shop change out the tops, and reset the bar to 245 from 265. Sofar I have enjoyed them and no smoke at idle, you can adjust to no smoke,have not got to a dyno yet, So I have no numbers to talk about, there is a big difference in power and go. I'm running 265/70r16's on the rear, when you punch it ,it will leave black marks in 1st,2nd,and 3rd, and pulls real hard to 85,egt at 1100 and 26 boost, hope this helps , mopar2ya

Hey thanks alot for the info Mopar. I am going to order some 370 tips and modify the bodies to see how well they work. I have been busy moving into a new house and working a side job so I dont' get much time to check in here. Hopefully things will slow down. By the way, are any of you guys going up to Bandimere speedway June 25-27 for the ATS and Cummins Rocky Mountain Fest? Just curious since I am heading up there next week.

370 INJECTORS

HELLO, WELL AS EVERYTHING HAS WORKED OUT,i have figured out is that the 370's have given me 100 more horses, 260 hp at present pod's are like390's, if you needed a number, hope this helps.

Power Wagon posted awhile ago that he tried 370 tips, and if I recall correctly he said they didn't flow as much as PODs. There are several different variations of 370 tips though, aren't there?

If I remember right 370's are a 4 hole sac type so my best guess at why they don't smoke when POD's do is because they are slightly smaller maybe right on the edge of hp a 4 hole sac can make without smoke injection angles play a part to but I don't know anything about the angles on these. (or any other injector for that matter)



About how much should nozzles cost and what other options are there for putting on a stock injector 185 nozzles? How would one know if an injector is in good enough shape to just change nozzles and make sure the pop pressures are balanced?

I am going to order a set of 370 nozzles to give a try. If any of you guys know of any injector numbers please post them. I found one number for the 370's but they also have a 155 degree spray angle and there is supposed to be a set out there with a 145 degree spray angle. I will be selling the POD's if I find a set that works good for me. If anyone is interested PM me.
