Just curious how much vibration is normal in the injector feed tubes. #1 feed line has a lot of vibration compared to all the others. Just wondering if this is a future problem. When i run my tst and smarty together, i trip a code that relates to injector 1. What do you all think?

is the solenoid on the injector itself? how can i test it? how expensive are they? i would rather replace it then hassle with warranty. also how would i know if it is leaking? thanks for all your help.

the injectors are fired by a solenoid I think the solenoid is going bad sometimes it is cheaper to pull all the injectors and send them out to have performance tips installed and the bodies and electronics checked than trying to replace a couple of bad injectors. and new injector is in the range of 400. 00

I know DDP sells injector tips, but who does a complete service like you describe? And what's the turnaround time for such a service?

don m at formula one he does not deal with the public so you have to go through one of his distributors. let me know if you want to talk to a real standup guy who knows his stuff about the 3rd gen motors and can give you a price on the injectors.

If the vibration is normal thats good. But is there any way to actually test to see if i have a problem, without taking the injectors out. This is my only transportation. It idles fine, runs good, and doesnt smoke abnormaly. Just misfires, and pops that code once in a while. It wont drop that code with just my smarty on, but it does misfire pretty bad once in a while.

You can take it to the dealer or a shop with a DRB(diagnostic tool) and they can read injector percentage. They usually just charge and hour to do it for ya.

Like it was said sometimes it is cheaper to just get performance injectors than to buy two or more Cummins re-mans.

Zip tie a piece of split hose over the line. The other lines have some supports that absorb the vibration.
