I just scored what is supposed to be a low mileage (<1000 miles) set of 215 injectors off eBay. I have searched here and dodgeram.org but cannot find the part number for the washers that go under the injectors. I understand that I can reuse my old ones, but I'd like to have a new set handy just in case I need them. I'm gonna order a prefilter/heater repair kit from Cummins and thought I'd add the washers to the order.

Never mind. I called Cummins and told them what I needed and they said no problem, they are in stock and will ship right out. I'll post the part number when I receive them.

If you call Piers they can send an injector service kit with several thicknesses of washers plus the return line washer pieces.

Return line washer pieces? Is this something that I would have a good chance of needing? Never changed injectors before. If so I can order it the kit. Wanna have everything I might need before commencing.

I have reused them without too much trouble so you should be fine. You'll know what I'm talking about when you start taking it apart. . . the small tube joining all the injectors and going back to the filter has washer pieces where it connects to each injector.

Another thing nice to have is the rubber O-rings that go in the top of the nut that retains the injector, it keeps water & fuel from going down the space between the injector body and bore. I never had these before until I just put injectors in this Sunday.

I called Piers and ordered the installation kit. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, especially since it's just $15 (+shipping).
