Injector Washers/Spacers...

Has anyone tried using different thickness washers to play with the spray pattern of the injector.



Would it affect anything?

That is a good question. When I got my 370's from piers there were a couple sets of washers and i wondered what the difference would be with the different thicknesses. Would this affect timing any? Would there be any performance or mileage benefits?

I played with three thicknesses when I first put my 370 injectors years ago. The best power & least amount of smoke & best MPG came with the thinnest ones . 020 If I recall correctly.

I think that would also depend on the timing also. It all depends where the piston is in the bore when they spray

Yes this topic has been tested and researched before. If you do a search you may come across a few post from Joe D. , Piers, and others on this topic. Bottom line is the . 020 work best.
