What does it feel like if you have a bad injector?

I just had one of my injectors replaced. 5 times to 3 different dealerships, I finally got a mechanic, (not a parts replacer) to listen to me and the engine at the sametime. The engine was quiet at idle, I drop it in to drive at idle and the engine knocks. He did a kill test and found that the noise would go away on the #2 cylinder.
