injectors are very noisy all of a sudden!

on our way up to vermont last week my injectors got very noisy! it was so sudden, almost like somone threw a switch. they are only noisy when i have more then 8-10 lbs of boost or more. boost guage is reading normal and egt's are normal. we were towing our 2 snowmobiles when it happned. also, it was about 10* when it happned.

it's been a week and the injectors are still very noisy. dropped the truck off yesterday at the dealer to be repared. with the window down it almost sounds like a wooshing/ticking noise. also, sounds like it's coming from passanger side. truck has 15,500miles. this is the first problem with this truck! any ideas what my problem could be? oh yea... . i havnt had the ramifier hooked up in months. and when it is hooked up i dont turn it up. only use it to fool boost. thanks... . james

Could it be a lousy load of fuel? Maybe ULSD or even #1 diesel... . things do tend to get a bit louder approaching single digit temps... just a couple of thoughts.

My injectors seem to be a lot noisier now too. Maybe its the ULSD fuel.

i wondered if it might be the fuel. i've filled up twice since then and still have the noise. no codes or water in fuel light. i run HHF 90 percent of the time so maybe it could be the ULSD. it seems like it starts harder now too... . james
