After what I figured would be a 3 hour job, I'm into it almost 6! Anyway, I took out the mach 3. 8 injectors I put in about 15,xxx mi ago so I could replace them with the stock ones again. (Love the power, hate the heat)

I had a hell of a time getting the 3. 8's to come out. I also adjusted the valves with all of the injectors out so it wold turn over easier. I finally got it all back together (had a hell of a time putting the stock injectors back) and now it just cranks and cranks with NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now charging the batteries any ideas?

Valves not adjusted correctly????? Air locked???????? Injectors not seated properly; they should not be forced in... . not accusations just ideas.....

eric you must have air in the line. crack injector 1 and 3 and keep "bumping" the starter until fuel appears.

Thanks for the replys fellas. I wrongly assumed that the fuel system was self priming. Cracked the injectors, peed diesel all over, and voila! So, thanks again for the help. I was just frustrated.

Wow you might want to replace the injector tubes if you managed to yank and reinstall injectors without pulling them back  Even slight damage to the tips can result in fuel leaks.

uh yea what he said like 10 times more, if you somehow got the injectors out without removing the tubes, ther will be damage to the ends, major fuel leaks inside the engine, bad stuff, i would reccomend checking the tubes, if you did not pull them.

Whenever I've had a hard time starting after a fuel filter or injector change I learned a little trick on the good ol TDR - before you try to start, bump the key (just enough to "JOG" the starter once) to the start position this will make the LP (assuming you are a 24 valve) run for 30 - 45 seconds, about three times, then with go pedal to the floor crank engine - not for more than 15 - 20 seconds and let it rest for a minute, repeat until she fires off. It may stall a few times, but make sure to let it rest a min or so in between attempts to start so as not to overheat the starter, get the wires hot. Remember, hold go pedal to the floor, of course once it starts release the pedal - it may run rough until all the air clears from all the injectors, but it'll smooth out eventually. And, as the others said you probably damaged the tubes, may as well order up a set of new ones - cheaper than wiped out bearings and an overhaul . . . . we do learn from our mistakes at times - hope this "learn" is not a real expensive one for you. Get them new tube in soon!!!!
