Ok, got the RV275 injectors installed today and my first impression is that there is not much noticible difference over my empty turck and the EZ alone. I only drove it for about 10 minutes so I did not have much of a chance to get a feel for it but it was not as big of a difference as the EZ was when I installed that. To make a long story short, had I not just writen the check for $450 to pay for the injectors and install I'd not have known they were in there. I'll give it more time and try towing and maybe then I'll notice a power increase.

Drive it again ... . usually injectors on an ETH will wake it up rather nicely. Floor It has had good luck with his 275 and EZ combo, enough to slip the clutch hotrodding with me in Vegas...

Whats your max boost now?

Kat, With tha t combo 275&EZ what kind of egt's and how does it pull?? Some guys swear by this set up for towing. I don't tow that heavy maybe 9-10k max. TIA

Floor It will have to chime in on that info.

When we pulled my truck to May Madness and back... ... . the truck and trailer combo was close to 13,000 lbs... ..... total weight was 20,500lb I think. We never really had to worry bout EGT's that I can remember..... we did go a lil easy on the way back due to the clutch slip (slipped it empty hotroding with me) ... ... . didn't want it happening again till we got home.

And you can't really compare the numbers of an ETH to an ETC motor... you need to ask someone with an auto truck to give you the info.

EGT's wont be your problem, the transmission wont like the combo :(

275's and VA were a great combination for 10k 5er towing:)

:) When I put my EZ in, it woke up the truck! I got use to driving with the EZ and then I put in a set of 275's and it woke it up again just like when I put in the EZ. Loved it. I have since upgraded again with the Comp. Now it can get SCARY if I want too. 275's will have 7 small holes vice 5 large holes. I'm well satisfied with mine. :D :D

JUST ADDED 275'S

I just added 275's in muncie and it does make a differance that I could feel empty and it pulls even better just pulled gneck and skid loader and it had more power than clutch so I could not use the full power in time I will get clutch that will handle the power and the pryro never went over 800 post turbo

Hey thanx for the info. now to make up my mind. Bob I forgot to mention that in between injs. and box I'll get the transmission fixed. TA

Ray, I just added 275hp injectors to my truck 2 weeks ago and I have the same impression you do. . I was a unimpressed. I think I may have been expection tooo much... At the same time a friend added DDII to his truck and wow what a difference???

My setup:

DTT 91% Tc, DTT VB, EZ, 275hp injectors, K&N FIPK, straight pipe.

I have yet to order the 275's, and after reading this post, I am almost as disappointed as some of you. I want (again) what the EZ gave me when I put it on, without totally murdering my clutch-yet. :p

If your thinking of ordering the 275's and want a noticeable difference in power go straight to DD2's. If you go from a 275's to DD2's you will not notice a huge difference at least I didnt. But if you tow a lot Id go with the 275's I really liked that combo and milage was great.

Sky,

Did you see a big difference in milage when you changed from the 275's to DD2's? I noticed you said the milage was great with the 275's... .

I am looking at both 275's and DD2 and can not make up my mind.

What was your experience???

Well I got better milage with the 275's. About 1. 5 MPG better. I really liked the 275's and comp set up a lot. If I could go back to that set up I would. I dont think the extra money spent from 275's to dd2's was worth it. Are the DD2's Faster? Yes they are, but it wasnt a HUGE difference IMO. If you do a bit of towing I would go with the 275's. If not go for the dd2's. Or if your not going to get a box then go for the DD2's. IMO the box is the best single upgrade.

I take it that the 1. 5 mpg better was empty. What about when you tow. I'm not a big person a mpg but I know a person near me who went from stock with an EZ to DD2 whith EZ, the milage with a 10k trailer went from 12 to 9 with just an injector change.

3 mpg times a 30 gallon tank is 90 miles futher he used to go. That is a significant amout of extra miles, in my opinion. He also said he didn't notice a big power gain, but when I drive behind him I DID notice a big smoke gain.

I am still not sure on which injectors I will purchase.

SKY, what was your experience from stock to 275's(powerwise and mpg)???

Thanks for sharing your experience!!! I hope it will help us all in making our decisions about injectors.

If you're going to buy a set of injectors and money is not real tight, I'd go with DD2's. I started with DD1's and ended up with DD2's. I don't think you'll regret going straight to DD2.
