Injectors Leaking

I did a long trip (2500 miles) with my truck a week or so ago. I noticed that the engine appeared to have diesel on the head along where the injectors are mounted. I'm wondering, is it common for the injectors or injector lines to leak? Should I be worried? Should I tighten my injectors down?

Does it look like the injector lines or return lines have been tampered with?? If not there shouldn't be a reason for a leak. I don't have a manual for the torque specs but you could see if any are a little loose. #ad

How much is there?? The injector torque to the head will not affect any fuel leakage, just compression leakage.

Nice photo!

Check all your lines for being snug where fuel leaks seem to indicate. (17mm on your high pressure, and 10mm on your return).

With all the injector trouble I've had recently I've had a few of these leaks, but they started right away.

I shoulda' looked closer - it's just a slight seep on some of my valve cover gaskets. Crap, I gotta get my head straight sometimes.
