i did the jammer 3 tips swap out replacing my rv275 .

my question is ,is there any difference in injector bodies? i used my original injector

would i get better performace using the 275 bodies or am i ok with the factory originals?

i think they were about 249. 00,but the funny thing is when shipped to me there was an invoice in the box directly from edge for 149. 00.

i happy with the price i payed compared to what the vendor payed... . everybodys gota make a buck!! :p :D

I just got some jammer 3's too. Plan on changing them out this week. I'm at 80k so gonna do the valves while I'm in there.

Did you have yours pop tested before install? How do ya like them?

Been comtemplating the same thing for a few weeks now. Is this someting that the average home mechanic can tackle or are special tools or training required to get it done right?

Well shucks, if merely swapping tips is so easy and inexpensive, why pay for a complete injector? Do all the injector outfits sell the tips separately, or only DD?

sorry ,

the tip swap out was a piece of cake.

i used a vise with a bar it in that fit the bottom of the injector.

used a 15mm wrench(i think)to take off the nut like housing,be careful when taking the tip off, theres a mini puck like part that stays on the body of the injector.

you cant put them on wrong, they only fit one way. hand tighten till bottom and the tighen 30degrees.

after the first one ,the rest will take you 10 minutes.

performance is great, Oo.

All that said, you SHOULD check the pop pressures anytime you swap tips. The shims under the pintle is what adjusts the pop off pressure, and they usually require some fiddling to get right. The stock sets are usually not that consistent.

Nozzles are cheaper that injectors as a set, but they require some mechanical ability and should be pop tested and possibly reshimmed, which takes a pop tester and may cost money to do. For the average Joe, that's not usually an option, but for you guys that are hands on, go for it. :)
