I wuold like a moderate power increase, as I tow only approx 5000lbs and only occasionally at that. Do the Bosch 275s work on the ETH HO? Thanks

As I posted a while ago, the Dynojet says +42 hp for the 275 injectors in the ETH.

Get the EZ timing box and make sure you have a set of gages before instal so you can get a good idea of what is acceptable. The EZ will advance timing wich increases power and lowers fuel consumption, and lowers EGT's. It can also deliver more fuel if you want it to. Its cheaper than a set of injectors, takes 10 minutes to instal, and makes a world of difference. You would probably end up buying one anyway, so might as well do it now and see if it queches your thirst for power. If you still need more power, time for injectors.

How do the Bullydog injectors compare with DDs???

I have never had my truck dynoed because I figured it would be hard on the drivetrain. I have a 24v ISB with a reflashed ECM to change the timing and it was supposed to add 80 hp then I put in DDIII injectors which is supposed to add something like 100hp I think, then I added a powermax 2 which was supposed to add 100 hp. I am getting about 48 psi of boost and I had some custom 4 1/2 inch exhaust put on it and I always wondered what kind of power I was turning out. I put in a 900 or 1000 lb ft clutch and I can slip it easily in fourth and fifth gear when I am running empty. I would really appreciate anyone even giving me a rough idea of what they think the engine might be doing hp and torque wise.

Bob, one thing you might want to consider is whether or not you want cruise to work correctly. If you do, you probably won't want to go larger than the 275's or DD1's. A box that had adjustable settings, including Off, would be a great addition for later on.

Anything more than 275s, including the EZ, and you'll need another clutch. At first it seems the clutch will hold but eventually, especially if you tow, it WILL start to slip.

I'm not too familar with the "Boxes" nor the different types of injectors. That being said, Why would changing injectors effect cruise? "... whether or not you want cruise to work correctly"
Could you explain.

The answer as to why large injectors will mess up cruise control is simple: 'too much power'. When an increase in power is required to maintain a constant speed, the cruise control system has no idea that a slight change in throttle now makes a much larger seat of the pants acceleration. In effect, you will speed up quickly and then slow down to keep speed constant. Try running a stock truck with a manual transmission with cruise on at 40 mph in 5'th gear (for a six speed) and you will know exactly what I mean - it's a jerky ride. Hopefull this makes sense. There have been a number of posts in the past where some people didn't like large injectors for that reason. If you don't use cruise, then no problem.

Iam running dd3's an ez and a hx40 on an ETH/DEE and I don't have any problems with the cruise control

I am running one that I got from Diesel Performance in Ogden Utah. Ken Jones runs the place and sell them. He is friends with the guys that made the Power Edge. Mine is a dual friction Ceramic on one side and Carbon Metallic on the other. It is a very good clutch in my opinion.

Bully Dog III's in my 99 ETC dyno today at 293. 1 HP with 579 ft/lbs of torque.

If the ETC is rated at 235 flywheel HP, and you loose 20% to rear wheels, that means that before the BDIII's I had 188 Hp to rear wheels. That mean the Bully Dog III's gave me an additional 105 HP. <font color=blue><font size=-2>
