Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injectors!

Hi I just baught some 275 RV injectors and I read in a manual that you need a special tool to remove the connector tube and a puller to remove the injectors. Do I need these and if so where can I get them from?

Nope you don't :-laf

Injector tube use a small screw drive and don't screw up the threads on block. To remove the injector you use a intake horn bolt it will screw right in.

Just as Mad Bomber said, use an intake bolt to screw into the top of each injector. I then use a small prybar (one that the tip is slightly bent) leveraging on a close head bolt to pop the injector upward. You can grip the head of the intake bolt you screwed into it to do this. Works pretty well. Good luck

It only took me 3 hours from start to finish to do my first 24V injector change. This included taking out the tools and putting them all away. I used the DD installation sheet Bob posted above. It was very complete and easy to follow.
