What would be a good injector over stock to work with the factory turbo, not smoke heavy, good pulling power and mpg's, is there anything out there that could be had?

A set of 190s would work well, and not smoke much, unless you play with the pump a little.

Buly DOg had some 50hp injectors a while back. You can also see about getting your stockers extrude honed. Several outfits do that as well. I got in on the introductory offer by DynoMite Diesel, and couldnt pass on the deal. Ended up getting new tips in the process, but I am still happier with these than the EDMs I had.

Well with diesel fuel prices getting higher by each week I don't want to hurt my fuel mileage any, but I would like to add just alittle pulling power, and keep my mileage I have now if possible, so tips for mine or the bosch 190's, either of these will do what I'm wanting too then?

Yes.

But you need to understand a basic priciple about diesel engines that makes them different from gas engines when "juicing " them up.

A diesel is a very precise machine. It will use fuel based upon the amount of horsepower the engine is actually using, not based upon it's horsepower potential like a gas engine.

Actually the rule of thumb for a diesel is that an engine capable of higher HP will be more efficient at reduced HP levels (engines of the same brand and size).



So you can do some performance upgrades to get increased SMILEAGE yet drive conservatively most of the time and still retain your MILEAGE.



Another way of putting it is that the weight of your right foot is directly proportional to fuel economy.
