Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injectors

I want to upgrade to higher flow injectors but I tried in the past and had some bad luck. I purchased them online for just about $300. They were supposedly the Bosch 275HP RV injectors. I did the install myself as I do most everything and following the manual's instructions to the letter. I loved the performance when I put them in but after about 3 weeks I was driving one day and suddenly I had a loud knocking and an impressive cloud of white smoke out the tailpipe. Assuming that this was caued by injectors, nothing else had changed on the truck, I limped it home and put my stock injectors back in. The problem disappeared and the truck ran great again. I contacted the place I bought them from and was told that a metal shaving might have been missed during machining that caused the injector to clog so I returned them for exchange. The second set of injectors did the same thing as the first after about 1. 5 weeks, though not as severely. I believe that I was only having trouble with 1 injector this time.



Now for my questions after that long disortation. Has anyone else experienced similar problems to that? Is it possible that I could have possibly goten dirt or something down in the injector during installation? If so, how would I prevent that from happening again?



I have been looking for new injector and am interested in the Edge units. I was looking at just the nozzles to save money. Anyone have experience with these? And is it possible to buy a good reliable set of injectors that will give me that little extra power I'm looking for in the $300-400 range?

Ever heard this? "You get what you pay for". Get ahold of Lenny or Ross at DDP. You will not have any problems with their injectors and you will be all smiles when you put your foot down!

Be very careful of some of the 'lower' priced 275's. A set of Jammer nozzles would be a very inexpensive and quick fix for a little added power.
