I have 2006 dodge and my father has one both with cummins and both have bad injectors. Both started acting up with in two weeks of each other. His has 90000 and mine has 45000. I also have edge juice w/att. What would cause the injectors to go out? What is going on with getting parts? My dealer says now that they do not know when they can get them and not to worry. Is this and what could this hurt by driving. I know I can see lack of boost and really having to watch the egt's not to mention the lack of pulling power.

What is wrong with them? What are the symptoms?

I would say tell your dealer to stick it and get you some injectors if they are under warranty. A lot of what I've read about is an injector sticking and filling the crankcase full of fuel. That can be very bad.

Well idk about the 06's but like on my 03 they put a very poor fuel filter 10 micron on the truck when the injectors require like a 2 micron, which lets to much junk get to the injectors and causes failure

It is usually contamination that fail injectors on the CR's. If they hang open, you could burn a piston, or fill your crankcase with fuel. Keep an eye on your oil level.

I would find another dealer, if one made a comment to me like that.

i would finds another dealer or make that dealer get you the injectors because you can risk serious damage to your engine

Are you fueling at the same spot? That would be my first thought. Depending on what is bad it could have some huge repercussions for engine life. Bet hey, if the dealer said drive it get it in writing so when the engines grenades you get new one. ;)
