I am trying to decide which injectors I want to put in my truck. Can anyone give me a power comparison between the different injectors out there.

show your sig on the first post. . helps with the questions...

I have DD3s. 100hp or so. Well worth it.

I've been told by many sources that 3s are the best balance between performance, economy, smoke, and drivability. they drive like stock with better power and mild smoke before boost rises. fueling boxes affect smoke greatly as do the turbo.

I have heard of idle problems with 5s or higher.

FWIW,

MK

I have the DDIII's also, they're great, with the "box" off they hardly smoke at all, unless 'acourse I wan't it to smoke then, , and I can still pull my trailers with out goin' ballistic, turn the "box" back on and lookout!! Thanks,Mark and Kurt!!

Mark, umm... ... ... ... ... ... ... I'm not sure what that means, I didn't take any foreign language classes in school. :( :( , and I live to far north to pick up on any of that yakityshmakity.

DRytting,

Go to the link in my signature for Diesel Dynamics (DD). They have power comparisons and dyno charts for all their injectors.

BTW, you could always comparison shop at May Madness. It's in your state :D

For an otherwise stock truck the biggest injectors you would want to run would be the DD/BD2's. If you go bigger it is turbo time and boost module, transmission and and and... . If you tow I would not even go with the 2's with out addressing the egt and maybe transmission. You also should have guages prior to ANY bombing... boost/egt and fuel press.

Don't be fooled buy what some floks say... . read their sigs..... it takes lots of mods to run 3's.

By the way. . I run 3's too.

DD3's rock! But I would not suggest them unless you tweak the rest of the truck to run them... . clutch transmission etc. etc.

To use any fueling enhancement... even 275's, you must use a boost module.

I had my profile at the bottom of the page can't figure out what happened to it. I have an EZ gauges and getting DTT VB, TC, Smart Controller and Pacbrake as I type. This the reason I am now looking at injectors and considering trading my EZ in for a PE comp. Don't know enough about injectors so I thought I would ask the experts.

My next set won't be DDs

They hacked me off about their cams.

I'd sell you mine. . I want some BD 4 or 5s or some ATS shower heads.

PM me. . less than 6k on 'e. m

DD3's anyone????

************ SOLD!!!!!!!!!

Injectors and boost modules

Diesel Freak,

I was at bullydog yesterday and asked them if there was a need for a boost module with the 2's and 3's. They said they have put them in stock trucks without a boost module and haven't had problems. They also said that they have a few stockers with the 3's that haven't had problems with the stock clutch. I didn't ask how many miles they have run on the stock clutch but it might be worth a call to find out.

TELL THEM TO LAY OFF THE CRACK PIPE!

THAT IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER I HAVE EVER HEARD

an ETH on DD3's only makes about 300 rwhp/640 ftlb.

not a problem for a stock clutch.

Add a PE comp. . 375-380 rwhp/890-900 ftlb. . you'd be lucky for it to last long.

I toasted it after this and a B1. . No sh!% huh??;):D:D:D

here are the dyno sheets before the B1. .

there are . . stock, stock+PEC, stock+DD3, Stock+DD3+PEC all on a stock clutch!!!

This is not "completely" true.

I ran my DDIII's without a boost module, yes it sets a code, and yes it defuels, which you can feel. However it wasn't hurting anything. Just to get the full benefit of bigger injectors or any fueling box you need the boost module to keep from defueling.

I ran about a week and half of no boost module, but wastegate left at 35 psi on my DDIII's.
