I have a 92 and was looking it over the today an found an area of concern. The rubber connection out of the intercooler was being worn away by the high pressure hose off the AC compressor.

Take a look and see if it is happening to your truck. I was lucky to have found the problem now instead of having it blow out on the road.

I took some closed cell foam tape, the type used on Industrial AC equipment and wrapped some on the low and high pressure hoses then used a wire tie to pull up the high pressure hose a 1/2" or so, then used an additional wire tie around the center of the loop and pulled it tight so the wire tie would not move.

I'm not sure this is the best way yet but works for now.

The rubber connection is not something I carry on road trips but I'm going to buy two, one to replace the damaged one and a spare.

Hope all this made sense.

Jim
