innercooler boot kit

Looking for upgraded boot kit. I have a slight cut in that first long-ish hose right off the turbo. . I thought it was the new edge box just running lower boost at cruise, maybe this is it? Maybe it ripped shortly after I got the box in? who knows



Anyways, there is ONE boot left in Minnesota and it's in LakeVille, ironicly I know one of the parts guy there. They want $60 for it, I'm sure I"ll get it for much much less as they closed right when I was calling them... .



So I'm curious as to just replacing all 4 of these boots. I know doing all 4 will be a royal pain in the arse, but might as well ya know? I can't seem to find any in the searches but peirs, and they are only for the 2nd gens.



Suggestions? I have to order something on monday morning!.

yeah, some of the sites don't make it apparent they are for the 3rd gen until you hit the buy button.



I'll see what I can get the OEM part for tomorrow. might just replace the one that is broke, I looked as close as I could with out removal of the other 3 and they look and feel perfect





but $150, makes me wanna just spend hte extra cash.

On my second gen one of my favorite mods were the heavier boots. I was just following my own upgrade sense and didn't expect any real improvements - just beefing up the intake system. Boost increased and stabilized. The cruise quit running over itself. I couldn't find any definate tears in any of the stock boots but there must have been leaks somewhere. Well worth the money. I would think the dealers would offer the aftermarket boots piecemeal so eventually you would have a full set of the heavier boots and spring clamps.

I'd like to have a set for my 2nd gen, but i can't find any that are black, only blue. PDR's kit has black on the intercooler but the intake and turbo are orange. Anyone know who may have a set that are black?

I have a set of Mr. Bobs blue hoses from my 2003. I installed a new intercooler, and no longer need them. PM me if interested.

OEM boot

Going to pick up an OEM boot tonight. My buddy at the dealership has them for $42 for the one I need, down from $66.



Maybe I can see if I can get access to the DRB tool to correct my speedo that 2mph it's off.

Well, Boost is back and EGT is under control again. That tiny little slit made a large difference



I've seen a max of 1450 on one 80-110-ish run. Boost at 70, is 7 and EGT 700. not 3 and 800 at 70. Truck responds much much better.



I'll leave this at this for now. Truck runs very good, I can't wait for track day (trying to pick a day again... ) and dyno day next month
