Has anyone tried the product offered by innovative balancing. The testimonials sound good. I am in the process of getting 315/75/16 cooper tires on the factory rims, and I DO NOT want any lead on my rims. It chews up the aluminium and it looks bad when you have a bunch of weight stacked up on the out side bead. thanks for the input.

I haven't used those, but I do run regular bb's in the tires on my 4x4. they work great at balancing the 39. 5" tires I run. At speed, it rides almost as smooth as my car.

I am running them on my truck with no problems. My tires are smaller but you shouldnt have any problems with them.

Thanks for the feed back. I have been in contact with that company and they seem really helpful. I have one last question. You guys have ZERO pound on lead weight and things feel great and smooth? If thats the case, there is now question for me. Also, did you guys say regular BB's like I put in my red rider work? Thanks

dave

Yep zero pound on weights and things are smooth as can be. And yes its just regular BBs. Some guys are using the air soft pellets as well but they may have the potential to breakdown over time.

I would go by weight like you would with the dyna beads. They have a chart on their website that gives you something to start with. Then you can add more from there if you have any issues.

I tried them and they did not work in my truck with stock BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TAs. .

When I installed them I pulled off my existing wheel weights as I should not have needed them.

The ride was horrible, Inoovative's response was I must have a bad tire and recommended I put the weights back on. I told them I did not save them or mark where they came from as they did not indicate I would need to. .

Once the beads you are in you cannot traditionally balance them without removing the beads... So I had to have my tires dismounted, beads vacuumed out and tires re-balanced. .

Was a $200 lesson learned. .

If you want to go that way, I would pass on Innovatives product and maybe check out centermatics...

My $. 02 worth. .

I've been very happy with their product. I usually double the recommended amount with the pos 2001 oem rims, very nice ride (my side mirror images are not blurred due to vibration) . No weights look good /less maint. However, flat repairs usually confuse the junior deck apes breaking tires. The centramatics wouldnt clear the oem cast rims and calipers on my truck, and spacers would practically have to be chiseled off, sent those back. Just have to deal w/reloading the tires on flat repairs.

I've used the beads on my last set of Coopers, 305/70/16 and they helped a great deal. I installed the beads close to the end of the Coopers' life (about 35k) and I got another 10 k out of them. I use the beads in my Nittos and they are smooth. Although I think I have a bad tire or something in the r/f cause I'm getting a vibration at certian speeds. Anyway at this point if I was to do it all over again I'd go the extra $$ and get the Centramatics. Reasoning: ease when having a tire repaired versus having to catch the beads or reload after the repair, and when the rubber needs to be replaced you don't need to install new beads. The Centramatics are for life of the truck you pay for balancing one time. My $. 02.

Next time I'm doing the Centramatics.

I tried the Innovative beads and they didn't work for me either. I went through all kinds of grief trying to make them work. I was running them in 265/75 tires with the recombined amount. I thought I had a water/clumping problem so had that taken care of in the one tire that was wet and it didn't fix it. I had them rebalanced with stick on weights and they were fine after that. They weighed the beads and compared that to the amount added with the stick on weights and it was good. I don't understand why they work so well for some and not others.

Has anyone heard of "match balancing"? Might want to ask your tire shop, reduced balance weight and/or better balance method, if they know WTF their doing...
