input shaft on NV5600 broken....

Has anyone heard about anybody breaking theirs recently? I have been off for a while and don't want to spread stale news.

no it was someone else running just a TST with twins on level 4 or 5 when it broke on a load dyno

A friend of mine broke the output shaft last year at Schied's. Don't know anyone who has broken an input though. Todd

Curt Haisley broke an output at the indoor pull a couple months back.

While I was at the shop Marks guys told me he had been having trans issues for a while. This just told them where it was coming from. They weren't even getting on the truck hard. Just warming it up under light load when it let go. Don't get the rumor mill started about failing inputs. :-laf

After I heard about it from the obvious source ... . I was a getting kind of scared to run the crap out of mine! (with my little ol' NV4500)



One things for sure, NO DOUBLE-DISK in my future, I think I will let my clutch be the weak link, you know??

hmm 400 HP and over 1000 ft lb torque at 2000 rpm, just warming up? Maybe he was, but that is dang impressive for a single box and twins. I am more than certain it was a fluke, I just wanted to get a few of you razzed up.
