Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) input shaft

I just bought a new clutch from peter at south bend and he told me that he was out of the input shaft 1 3/8 and would be 2 months before he might get one. So I was thinking that I could use a stock 6 speed shaft. Would that work because I want to pull in my home town fair. So if anyone could help and tell me what they think and how much the stock would cost.

I think a stock 6spd input shaft would work but Im not sure. Peter would probably be the best person to ask about that. If not try Dave at www.enterpriseengine.com he should have some input shafts there.
