Just changing the fluid in the rear and found two things that were diff to me than I have seen before.
1) Somebody put a ring gear right next to my ring gear.
2) The pin doesn't sem to have a long bolt holding it in place - but rather a tapered pin? I aboot freeked out when I couldn't see nor feel a bolt head where it aught to be, however I could feel on the back side what appeared to be a through-hole. Assuming it must be a tapered pin. ??? Is this b/c of all the twisted off "keeper" bolts from the old days maybe?
-----
I need to change the pinion seal soon too. Am I safe to just pop off the yoke and pop it back on with the impact as long as I don't get carried away? Or does this have a crush sleeve that is overly fragile?
