FWIW I installed mine through the side plug with a lil' help from a cummins wizard. Lay a small magnetic tray underneath the side cover on the pump, just in case you drop something the tray will probably catch it. Very easy through the side, i would rather do 10 through the side as opposed to 1 thru the top! Either way, just get the job done and be happy

There valvers

Just got them in today 12 valve springs and one # 10 kit , it has a new break off screw in it but I don't want to use it I want to put a regular flat head or philops head back in it where do I get it so how do I or even do I put them in or just hold off alittle while untile I get the 3k kit

set them on the shelf for a while and stick with the 3k and 10 plate. that should keep you smilin for a while.

The cap screw is metric. Going from memory it's something like a M6 about 20mm long. Maybe someone else can chime in with the exact size.
