I'm looking for decent instructions on injector install and a transmission install on a 4wd, both should be here within a week or two, and i'd like to see the detailed steps on how to do it, any help would be a big help, thanks

Print out The instructions Bob linked, read them over and over, set out tools that are listed and spend the next hour or two getting familer with the top end of the CTD. It's not bad and is fun to do.

PM San Felipe Bob or Sootscooter both have done the R&R to their trucks.

Let us know how it goes!

Mike

I've tried searching for it didn't really find anything, on the transmission install, i think i have the dd install like you sent to me but i'm dling it just to make sure, but the transmission install would be really helpful thanks

most trany installs involve much more than the shade tree mechanic.

its take a lot of knowledge to get it right, no flame intended.

no flame intended but i installed a transmission in an eclipse, something that has no room at all, to work with unlike this, so i think i can handle it had instructions for that also, and i work at a parts store so i know what parts are and how to work on cars, but thanks for the post that wasn't needed, even though you did help me out

Have you given any thought to getting a Factory Service Manual for your truck? Try DC's "Tech Authority". Or, if you don't want to part with the $100 or so, Geno's has the Haynes Manual for less than the price of a good breakfast. Either one has nice instructions for both the projects you have in mind. Pictures, too.

When you're done with the projects you can leave the book in the throne room. Beats a Sears Catalog. :-laf

I have a chiltons manual, i got for my work, its not to specific on the transmission, but shows basically everything i'd need to know about what part is what, thats going to be my bible when i do it ni the next couple days, whenever it arrives

somewhat helped, kind of different than the instructions that igot, but i'm sure i can figure it out, not brain surgery, i just have to remember how to put everything back exactly how it was, anyways, it will go smoothly i think, got a transmission jack yesterday, cause i don't think i'm strong enough to hold it up with one hand and tighten the bolts with the other ;) lol
