Here are a few pics, I thought i'd mess around and ditch the banjo bolts and see if I can gain any HP by it. I know most likely not, But I had a credit at Summit racing, So had to get something you know?

While I was wrenching, I put in a permanent FP gauge right off the CP3 - It will be good for Dyno days...

If I can hold FP on a load dyno, then I can hold it on the street, and then no need for the in cab one...

BTW - the lower fitting on the filter was quite a nasty-no-good you know what. The factory casting has two walls that dont allow a wrench to gt on the adapter. So i had to use a fitting and then back it off. PS - the only way the -8:12x1. 50 webber fitting is coming off is if I take the filter housing off the truck, its that hard to get to

Ohh and also - Those push-lock barb ends... WHO ARE THEY KIDDING!?!?! I had all 161lbs of me pushing the hose and I still had 1/8inch left, I said screw it, its only 40psi - and they can take 250psi... .

Are those alodized aluminum fittings? Nice. Bosch advises against galvanized (zinc plated steel) in diesel lines, as they clog injectors (with zinc). I've seen some galvanized banjos advertized (for fuel pressure gauges). Don't use them with fuel lines. Only Aluminum, brass, copper, stainless, plastic.

Yep, they are aluminum. To be honest I got them cause they looked better then the other steel ones. But I'm glad to know I should not use the galvanized ones, thanks!

I plan on running -8 the hole way later. Why? Cause I inhaled alot of diesel fumes tonight

i have plans on the back burner to run a pair of 1/2" lines from the tank to under hood when i redo my fuel system. . one supply, one return. . get some braze on fittings for the line and silver solder them on... [still haven't decided if i want to use jic's as they are easy to get, or use orfs. harder to get, but seal way better]

HAHA, You too?

I don't consider myself much of a weakling, weighing 250, and being able to bench press the same, I had an 1/8" left also. I said the same thing. After a few months with no "loss of prime" issues, I said, that must be good enough.

put the end of the hose in boiling water for a minute, (or just really hot water). Spray the inside with wd 40, and it will slip on all the way. Even a 161 lbs weakling can do it.

I use these all the time, and it is a lot easier this way.

Looks nice!

Hey Tom, with the fuel pressure gauge under the hood... ... what happens if something causes the pressure to drop driving down the road??? Like if the pump quits while driving?

haha, Then I'll never know!

Really though, I had the extra gauge from my 1/4mile car. and the adapter was only a few bucks extra, So I thought why not?

I think it will be nice too when I have a regulator under hood. I will be able to adjust right there and be accurate...

On the other hand, The fumes were strong from all that #2 on the garage floor...

Tomey is the vulcan big line kit basically the same as what your doing minus the gauge.

Jake

I think so, But for the life of me I could not find the Vulcan kit, cause if it is the same I would have just bought that...

It was a pain finding all the part #'s, etc - Althought everyone told me a 12x1. 5(-8AN) adapter is not made, and sure enough EARL'sfittings made them...

WHy? Cause -8 is what all the cool kids run! hahahahhaaha

I wonder how tough my 12AN's are going to be?
