I have a 98 Dodge 3500 that did not have the factory tow package. I bought one from the dealer and installed it with no problems. Now I need to install a trailer brake control and that wireing was not part of the package I bought.
An aquaintance that ran an RV supply store told me that there was a plug up under the dash, fastened to the steering column that was for that purpose, and all Dodges had one. I looked where he said and sure enough there there it was. A light blue female recepticle barely peeking over the steering column. What I need is the wire loom or kit that goes from this plug on the column over to the left kick panel where a brake control can be plugged into it.
Im reluctant to splice into any existing circuits not meant for this purpose because it could possibly damage expensive electrical components.
Any assistance or advice will be appreciated.
