Recently I purchased a set of Spas guages for my truck. Needless to say the schematics were great, but the directions seemed lacking when it came to the actual installation of the probe in the differential. I would appreciate any information concerning a funtional and leak proof installation. Any help will be appreciated.

rbiggs,

Welcome:D

I installed mine when I went to the Mag-Hytec cover. This cover has a place in the top for the 1/8" NPT temperature sender. If you have the stock cover, you will need to drill and tap to this size. However, I do not know if this can be done to the stock cover.

Since you are going to the rear differential, you will need to splice the SPA harness. It is just not long enough. :( I recommend soldering for a reliable connection and heat-shrink tubing to protect the splice areas from the elements. The boot that comes with the connector for the sender will provide adequate protection.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

A new differential cover sounds fine by me. I just won't tell my wife about it. Thanks for your help. And by the way I don't read Chinese. Have a good one. Biggalow
