Well it took a while but I finally have a bigger intercooler in my truck. Pretty much goes from headlight to headlight and from top of frame to bottom of hood safety latch. Looks good and with it mounted upside down its easy to get to the piping. Sure makes my old banks one look puny. I took pictures but I better hold off posting them. All the laughing might spoil someones dinner.

Hmmmm..... I'd suggest safety first... . if it's as butt ugly as he says, I strongly recommend looking at his truck pics with only

ONE eye at a time..... you can never be too careful right... :D:D::D

Pastor Bob.

You are wise beyond your years. And I am wide between the ears. (stuck under a couch when I was a child).

Tugboat.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight. Just don't ask me to explain how. I still have a blister on my typing finger from the NV5600 install info.

just by the nature of him. . I'd guess it's a very safe mount...

but the one eye look might be in order. . just kidd'in Ron

I'm sure he needs a PB blessing :) on this truck ... for sure needs a big fat wallet LOL

Looking forward to some pictures! I have been considering putting a bigger intercooler in my truck but didn't know if it would work without moving or eliminating the a/c condenser. Glad to hear that it fits! Are you still running a stock grille assembly?

Well I drove it some more today after trimming some sheet metal away. It is doing better . I would say an across the board 50 deg less egt. I need to cut some vents in my big bumper and cover them with expanded metal. that will expose about another sq ft of intercooler. I'm sure that will help.

Gary,

I could use a blessing from PB of course. But I think what I really need is to quit blindly messing around, mortgage my house, put the money in a coffee can and head to PDR and get it tuned up before I have a nervous breakdown. With my other hobbies people send them to me to be fixed. Being on this end sucks big time.

heck your most of the way there now... so maybe just a medium sized second / home improvement loan would do. . and for sure it's a home improvement loan as your mental health would be better and life around the home would be nice again LOL

Just full tilt that rig and control it with the right foot LOL ... now wasn't that easy for me to say LOL

Yep. I might almost be there. But then again who knows. When I borrowed that hx-40 It only did 400. That's pretty low. I'm not going to worry untill the twins are in. If it still doesn't make the power. I'll save up and buy a turnkey setup with a dyno slip to back it up.

If someone could e-mail me and tell me how to post them, I have some pictures of this intercooler and stuff.

I put some pictures in the readers rigs under RonA. I don't know how to get the file size for the picture small enough to fit after post. I have to take the front off again to modify bumper and I will take pictures of intercooler and mounting area. This digital camera stuff will take a while to get used to.

Tugboat,

If you want to see a picture of the 5600 cross member or the Dana 80 stuff send me an e-mail. I took some pictures and I can send them to you.

Since I am the only one who voted your album has a perfect 10. Why? I've never been so green in my life. If you had a common rail '04 I would have given you an eleven!

Ron. . you can copy the album link to the post also. .

use the cut and paste method or just highlite and use the control and insert to copy. . then the shift and insert on the post
