Guys, I just installed MBRP 5" DPF back exhaust(part # MBS6124AL). It went together so well, I had the Muffler and tailpipe off and installed the new pipe in about 1 hour! The new pipe is just a straight pipe, no muffler. How does it sound? Well, honestly its maybe got a tick of a lower exhaust note and maybe a smidget louder but not annoying loud at all... all in all MBRP did a nice job and the one clamp has 2 hangers welded to it and that matched up perfectly!

In Auburn WA, we have a guy been around a very long time, not a muffler shop but an exhaust manufacturing plant with everything having to do with exhaust and more. From 1-1/4 to 6" all mandrel bent, and any in any metal turbo back or otherwise. I'm going 5" turbo back when its time.

I have a 4" turbo back MBRP on my 2005, with their muffler. I would second how well it fight, truly "bolted right in".

I do have the in cab drone, not too bad, but definitely there. Hits empty after the shift into overdrive between 45 - 50, and is more noticeable and lasts a little longer when I'm pulling a load. I would recommend it, as I said, it's not annoying, and I was looking for a little louder sound, but I can't tell you there is no drone in the cab.

I had to cut about 18" of the 4"-5" pipe off, MBRP definitely gives you plenty. . remember measure twice cut once!!
I guess it looks gigantic when your handling it but once its on. . seems pretty nice!

Rooster,

Little late now, but you should have opted for band clamps instead of the u-bolts. I made the same mistake on an earlier install... thinking, why would I ever have to remove the exhaust system? Trust me, the need will arise.

Your exhaust looks good, MBRP does a fantastic job on fit and finish, and the price I found couldn't be beat.

Enjoy, Jess

Its not even loud enough for a drone! I have put about 75 miles on since the install. with the windows down and driving at highway speeds i still cant hear the exhaust.

Hmmmm, I have a turbo back 4" , looks like you kept your CAT on. Mine is definitely louder, not obnoxious, but it is louder than stock, and you can surely hear the exhaust.

In fact, now that the weather in Michigan is nice, I roll down my windows on purpose just so I can hear the exhaust, sounds much better.

My bad, didn't notice your signature, and yours is a 2008.
