Installed the Pioneer DEH-p47DH ... ... 1. 5 Din radio made to fit the Dodge and others. Final pic makes it look like a stock radio.

Pic of Stock radio... . Note the screw holes for mounting... .

Here is the new radio with the adapters on the side...

Bottom Left tab. screwed onto the radio.

Here is the top right tab screwed onto the radio.

Here is the wiring. The black and Grey connectors is what came out of the stock radio. The color coding went well. Wired it up in about 30 minutes.

#ad

Bolted in the stock location using the stock screws.

Finished pic. Looks great!!

Here is what I also listen to. XM Skyfi 2 with built in modulator and playback feature.

I have the same unit its a nice and easy install!!

i have it hooked to 2 sony amps 1-500watt for 2- 10" subs in a custom box under the rear seats and a 120 watt to run the fronts and the unit powers the rear door speakers

it's a great radio!!

nice job !

Your doing real good with the camera, maybe you should try a night shot?

Those itty-bitty buttons and the tiny writing. Thats the major problem I have with the eclipse in my jeep is the small buttons and writing thats difficult, no, impossible to read at 75 mph in traffic.

Thanx, I'm looking for a 1. 5 DIN and I believe Pioneer is the sole source.

I don't see a tape deck, so I guess my cassetes can go into the box with the four tracks.

How did you deal with the Infinity stuff?

Any skipping offroad or over bumps with the new setup? That's been my experience with some CD players. Dirt roads render some of them unlistenable. Your install looks great, Pioneer is the only 1. 5 din. I've been able to find. Good luck! P. S. Hows the FM reception?

I see somone has asked about the steering wheel controls so I will wait for that answer, how did you interface the xm? I really don't like the sound when using the FM mod goodie, does that radio have an aux input if so you can use a home adapter which lets you hook up thru two rca connections

Hey thanks for the replies.

One word of caution when you get this radio... . Get the pioneer DEH 4700 DH if you want a remote. I have the 47 DH. No remote.....

The XM skyfi 2 I have has a very nice FM Modulator that is clear and has an output adjustment. So far the FM is clear and The CD plays very well.

I don't have the controlls on the steering wheel... . There is an Aux input that has a plug and you can get adapters for the RCA. I like the FM Mod. sound good enough right now...

The buttons are small but not bad. The main buttons for search and stuff is on the left and a rotary dial for the volume. There are 3 banks of presets for FM and 2 am.

Can that radio tune down to FM station 87. 7? Some only go to 87. 9 before going back around. I am asking because we have a station here that is 87. 7 and the Kenwood I put in my wifes car will not tune it in. Thanks!
