Installed BD brake....check backpressure

I just finished installing my BD brake (group purchase). I waited a couple weeks after delivery because I forgot to order a backpressure guage. Got everything put together (twice, follow directions and clean the mating surfaces good) and the idle pressure was factory set at 35psi. BD recommends 20-25 psi on the 24 valve so just as a precaution you might want to check your backpressure when you install. I don't know if it would have hurt anything but I feel better knowing it's within the manufacturers specs. Now to go pull something heavy down a hill. #ad

My remote 4" was set at 24# which is spec for the 60# springs which I don't have yet . Do check as you would not to push a valve open at the wrong time and hit a piston. One more note I love the brake when towing it does make a strange sound at idle but has to save brake pads and rotors.

Quick question, Does your BD brake make a loud "HISS" when you dis-engauge the brake ?
Also has it been safe to let the brake engauged to better let the engine warm at idle when first starting in the morning ?

Yes, I have a U. S. Gear, but it makes that whoosh of air when it disengages (everyone thinks I have air brakes #ad
) Mine is exhaust mounted though, not turbo mount, so I have all that pressure built up in the exhaust that it is letting go. I wouldn't think that yours would make that much noise.
