Ok, you all probably think I am all fired up because I installed the dumb block heater cord that DOES NOT COME WITH THE DARN TRUCK!! Anyway, I had the air box out to make things a little easier and to get familur with the new truck and component location, reached inside that long black plastic tube and said WTF!! Just had to take the elbows off and give them a few love taps and let them fall out. I need some advice on what intake system flows the most. Other than that I is a happy camper Oo.

some sort of honeycomb looking plastic thing that looked more restrictive than helpful. Probably wrong though but it "seemed" to fall out. I am wanting a cold air from the turbo to the filter. Any good suggestions

It's just for noise, your turbo whine will be louder w/o it, especially for the front passenger. It doesn't make any performance difference.

AFe STage1 and CBH (Cool Blue Hose)

CB - An AFe Stage 1 and the Cool Blue Hose works great. However you have to put up with the turbo whine. :-laf :-laf

I'll try to post a picture.

Are there any problems with the CBH collapsing under vacuum of the turbo? I was looking at the price of the AFE kit and then the $129 for the CBH and that is kind of an expensive intake system

Cool Blue Hose

CB - The Cool Blue Hose has two metal insert sleeves to keep it from collapsing. I originally had the CBH on my stock airbox and had the same worry as you. The CBH elbows are pretty stout and uses the inserts spaced in the straight sections, (don't ask me how they got them in there). I run a Industrial Injection SPS66 turbo and show nearly 50 psi boost and the CBH hasn't shown any signs of collapsing yet when the intake side is really spooling. I haven't heard of any problems. It also takes the heat in stride where other intake systems have had reported melting problems.

Hope this helps.
