Hey Guys,

I finally installed my gauges this weekend. It turned out pretty good. The entire job was pretty painless. Here are a couple of pics.

Mike

I drilled a hole in the dash. I wanted to achieve the cleanest look possible. I mounted a power distribution block behind the dash to distribute the dimmer feed to all the gauges. I also mounted the isspro circuit boxes on the firewall in the engine compartment. See attached pic.

The switch next to my light switch is for my fog lights.

Thanks

Mike

Looks good.

Are those isspro boxes rated for use in the weather though? They will get wet in that location. I was thinking they were not sealed.

tach

Hey looks really good man! What kind of tach do you have, and where did you get it? I'm looking for a tach, thats why I ask! Thanks!

Josh

Funny you should ask..... I think I got the last Factory tach from a dealer about 1 month ago. You can try e-bay, or have your local dealer do a nationwide search for you. It is a factory tach - Dodge part# - 82400711. The one on e-bay sold for around 250-300 i think. I found mine for 140. Try calling several dealers, you may get lucky. In looking at your signature, you have a 91. My 93 came pre-wired for a tach. All I had to do was plug it in! I don't think your 91 came with that luxury. Good Luck!

Hope you put a lot of die-electric grease on the conections on the amplifier boxes. Don't want any corrosion there. I have my box under the steering column.

The tach is factory. I got it from a Dodge dealer. Because a few of you guys mentioned the location of the circuit box is not the best location, I think I am going to enclose it in a sealed plastic box under the hood. This way, I'll have the protection I need.

Thanks All!!!

Nice Job. I'm Installing Guages This Weekend, I Like The Power Distribution Block Idea For The Guage Lighting Where Did You Buy It? Any Ideas For A Tach? I Got Pyro And Boost Yesterday But No Tach And I Have 2 Inch Autometer A Pillar Pod. Trying To Find Someone In Town With A Small Tach Is A Joke.

Hi vhaines,

I found a power distribution block at Auto Zone. I happened to be in there for other stuff when I came across the idea. I put velcro tape on one side of the block and the other side behind the dash. This way I can remove the block easily. What year is your truck? Do you have the connector under the dash for your tach? I really like the ISSPRO gauges I got from Geno's. Quality stuff. I would get the tach from there.

Does Geno's have tachs? I didn't see one in the catalog. Where is the tach wire and what does it look like? I set my W. F. O. rpm w/ a photo tach i borrowed from work, but would like one in permanent. I got my guages from Geno's and love 'em. pete
