I installed my guages yesterday and am now distracted by the egt gauge.

What is considered normal for driving around town? I currently have 1200lbs of sand ballast in back. I am seeing temps of 800+ on hills at 35mph.

Thermocouple is installed pre-turbo. Highest I've seen boost go is 15ish, but <5 on the above hill.

Thanks

Chad

Thanks. I was concerned about how high it must have gone when pulling my TT, given how high it went basically unloaded.

Thanks

Chad

When I installed my gauges, I was concerned with the unloaded temps (5-800), but what really amazed me is it only climbs about 300 when I hook up the 13K trailer, never been over 1100, even on a 7% grade. :D

You should be see around 19 to 20 lbs of boost with you foot in it hard. Check all you boots from turbo outlet around to intake manifold. SNOKING

The temps seem ok, but your boost seems low. It shouldn't be real hard to see 18-20 lbs of boost. I can see that on most hills unloaded, if I tried :)
