I had to snake them down diagonally from behind the injection pump to under the front crossmember. I couldn't find any other way to get them in! But what a set of horns!!!
I got mine on sale at Camping World a while back at $325. I think they're over $400 now. But the difference between the Ambassadors and the Bullys is night and day!
My cheapo wolos died after my compressor got wet. I've been asking a bunch of you guys about location of the install. I still can't deciede where I want to put the new setup. I'm a bit worried about the water, seeing as how it toasted my last one. I'm still considering placing the compressor and tank under the bed between frame and body, and still don't know if I want to place the horns on the rack above my roof. Probably would be loudest there... ... or do I want to carry a concealed weapon??
I put mine inside the front fenders, had to remove the air cleaner and battery to get them in but it was worth it. Almost invisable even with the hood open, only the air lines can be seen.
Just bear in mind that the Ambassadors are 28" long! I mounted my tank behind the front crossmember and my compressor on the back slope of the wheelwell toward the cab on the drivers side.
