The boost gauge went smooth, other then the fact that I used one of the two back bolts shown in the diagram and the fuel line for the injector is in the way, darn near could not get a socket on the boost bolt to install it.

The Pyro gauge went smooth, placed it on the exhaust manifold pre turbo like the photo's show by the number three exhaust port.

The trans temp gauge was the hardest as the lead from the box to the sending unit is barely long enough if you run the lead under the back of the bell housing. I could not use the rear line port as the sending unit is to long and it bottoms out before the threads make contact. I ended up using the front line port by the servo, any problems with that one?

Please don't say do a search, I have done many and all you get is dozens of pages of posts and I have yet to find one that answers my question on the trans temp sending unit.

I still have to wire the lights for the gauges but I am waiting on the wiring harness from Geno's Garage, it will make the light wiring much neater. :--)

The performance of the gauges was great, the Turbo works fine, the pyro gauge is very fast acting, as soon as you start the engine, it is registering temps. Oo.

The trans temp gauge seems to be working fine I got up to a little over 160 degree in traffic and a short run on the turnpike where I bumped the speed up to 80 for a couple of tenths of a mile, the rest of the 4 mile turnpike ride was at 70 to 75 for most of the way.

Very impressed with the ISSPRO gauges, instructions are kind of generic but are OK. :D

The do need to address the sending unit placement for the trans temp gauge. :(

So if anyone can tell me if this front port placement is OK or will it cause any damage to the servo I would be thankful.

I just switched from the Diprcol to the Isspro gauges and I like them alot better but the Isspro do have what they call the AMP signal box-------one for the pyro and the other for the transmission temp. I will say my EGT gauge is more responsive now------with the Diprocal very slow and the lighting with the EGT gauge is a lot better now. The only problem I am having is with the transmission temp------I have mine in the cooler line and cannot get it to move off the peg. Gauge is a 100 to 280 and it lays on the peg like it isnt working. I will say we took it out and used a heat gun and it did get up to 130* after a short period.

My trans temp gauge moved after about one mile maybe two miles down the road, it got up to a little over 160 degrees, Are your wires making contact in the amp box, maybe one of the wires you have to supply for power to the amp box did not make a good contact with the little metal slider when you screwed in the set screw.

I don't know why ISSPRO does not pre wire the trans temp amp box like the do the pyro amp box, also make sure you have a good ground, I used the main ground under the dash for both amp boxes.

I do like the look and the way all three gauges work.

Did you run your own wires for the lights in the gauges or did you buy the harness from Geno's Garage?

Well I just went out and pulled the trans temp sending unit and it is nice and clean, nothing making any contact with it so I guess I am OK with that part of it.

:-laf

I didnt buy the Geno's garage wiring harness-------we wired up lights all together. I have the AMP boxes behind the knee panel below steering wheel-------we just zip tied them together to the metal brace. As far as the ground I had the transmission box grounded to the same ground as the EGT box and had power with my test light on the + side of the transmission box. I did change the ground to the metal brace I have them zip tied to with the same results. I talked to someone at Isspro and did what he said and used a heat gun with the key on and still got to only 130*

Strange as to your trans temp gauge not working while in the truck driving, I just got back from a run into town and got up to 170 degrees on the trans temp running it in the front line plug on the right side. Once I started moving again the temp went down to around 158 degrees.

I think I am alright on the location, the temps seem about right.

My old gauge I had it in the transmission port and this one I have in the cooler line------I think Monday I will give Isspro a call

i got my ISopro mechanical guage in the transmission pan, I never above a 100F unless, Backing up in4x4, trailering backing up, or 30 minute idling in traffic in gear. it jump to 80 real quick backing up.

Low temperature Normal for cooler or in the pan Guages

Wow if you are getting to 180 in the pan when backing up, I wonder how hot the transmission is really getting, the fluid in the pan is after returning from the coolers.

I bet your getting up to 210 to 220 when backing up.

Yes 220 hot line, that would not suprize me, on the Way to canada at the border crossing in the summer we saw 220 in the pan after 3/4 hour idling in gear. Kick into to netural and the temperature drop to the 180 range quickly. Then as soon as started moving, drop below 100F again/

Just got my gauges this week. Was their enough room to route the wiring into the back of the gauges? I looked under the cubby hole and it looked crowded to me. I don"t think that the wiring to the transmission is long enough so I guess it is OK to splice it out? Looks like a time consumming job. . Oh well noting ventured nothing gained. .

I put mine in the cubby hole with the Auto Meter mounting pod-------where they are turned towards you----------It is crowded but it is possible to do----the transmission lead is long enough to do if you go to the cooler line--------That is where I have mine at and it was long enough.

The Amp boxes are not really that big-----------I put mine under the knee panel and zip tied the to the metal brace on the right side of steering wheel.

When I had my Dipricol gauges the highest I got when towing was 180-185* and that was in the transmission port-------couldnt get it to work in the cooler line------not grounded I guess

There is plenty of room behind the cubby hole in the dash to mount the gauges, I ran all of my wiring through the lighter hole inside the dash.

My transmission lead to the probe was barely long enough, I don't like it being stretched to its limit almost, there is barely any slack, I had to run it against the bell housing under the transmission to get it plugged in.

Install today sweet gauges only have to crawl under and hook up the transmission sensosr. Had to splice out the wires to the transmission. Every thing else works OK. Will try to send a photo. .

Will install the sensor tomorrow can use any hole since I lengthed the wires to the sensor. . Probably the center one. .
