I installed my new mudflaps... wow... I like these. The install would have gone easier if I had a good set of clamps, but other than that, it was easy. These are NW Custom flaps, the new 20 inch wide ones. Jason increased the size from 18 inches due to the wider tires on the new duallies. The best part... all stainless... no rust!

Rob,we must be on the same wave length. I have my new mudflaps installed tomorrow. Wont have the Dodge logo so your still one up on me. Plus the are not from NW Custom.

Look at all those fingerprints on the chrome! Gee Rob!!! Just kidding... . they look great. Were the mounting brackets easy to attach? I especially like how low they hang on the 4X4s. So many of the flaps are more than half way up the tire. May stop rocks from hitting the rear panel, but do little (because they are too high) to protect the front of your trailer or following vehicle from rocks/debris launched from the base or lower part ofthe tire. Thanks for the photo... . better than words!!

BTW see any extra backup lights floating around your house?? #ad
And Rob, the Mariners ROCK! #ad

Rob, is there any chance of you posting a picture here that shows the right hand side rear corner view please? #ad
The reason I ask is, that since the DD 4" exhaust with a 5" tip was installed about 5,000 miles ago, my original factory mudflap (rear suface) is now very close to the exhaust tip and has "melted/deformed" some of the mudflap. I reckon something like yours, would be rigid enough to maintain a better clearance as well as looking whole lot better. What's the part number and Jason's phone number please?

Cheers!

Yep, David, you are right! But I was so excited to have them on, I didn't take the time to clean them, I just ran for the camera! A lot of those fingerprints were on there before the install... I fondled them for about a week!

Rob;

I think they're even better than the set of mudflaps I put on Adam's Dodge Ram! Now, Adam wants a set of Dodge Ram plates on his mudflaps AND wants to make his truck into a dually, just like Rob's!

BTW, Adam is my 5 year old son. His RED Dodge Ram is a Nikko RC unit. It started as a plain yellow truck. Adam wanted mudflaps & Dad starting BOMBing it. I spent close to $20. 00 on the paint job alone. Luckily, mudflaps were free from spare parts laying around the house. I bought but haven't installed the nickel-metal hydride batteries, yet. Once the fever starts ... ... .

Cheers;
John & Adam

The photos don't do justice to Rob's peekup (the butt) truck. He has dressed that baby out very very nice.

i forgot to ask earlier Rob... . did you have to relocate your exhaust pipe to install the flaps? If you already had the pipe relocated, does it have to be done to stock installations? Thanks!!

David

David... I have the BD 4inch exhaust. I did not relocate it, although it was close! I do not know about the stock exhaust or any other brand... sounds like a question for Jason! Look above for his web link!

Thanks for the compliments guys, but they should be going to NW Custom... he does excellent work at a fair price. Did I mention his cute wife? (sorry Jason, but its true)

JohnM... I will try to do that pic for you tonight...

Jason used his own Ram for a model when designing his patented mud flaps. He also has a BD 4" exhaust on his Ram so I would think the fit should be pretty good with this brand of exhaust. Keep in mind though, Jason has a 12v Ram... the tailpipe location is different than the 24v. I had to modify my my Banks exhaust in order to install my 18" wide rear mud flaps on my 2500 4x4. I believe this will also hold true for the Jardine, Stan's, and JRE exhaust systems (of those that I have personally seen).

Thanks for the replys guys! I'm not sure yet if I want the NW Custom flaps, although, they are quite nice! Anyway, if I need to relocate my stock exhaust for either NW Custom or ones like Stull, I'd like to go ahead and do it.

David
