#@$%! Bought the kit for my truck and installed them today.. Get ready to air them up,and wahoo !!! I hear lots of air leaking ...I crawl under and splash soapy water on it and air is pouring out of the bag, on the top cap near the air line. Looks like the band did not tighten enough to prevent air from leaking.

My question is. Has anybody had experience with PACBRAKE returns? Do they jerk you around? or no nonsense get the part out to you? I'm moving back to Az in two weeks and I really don't want to play mail games etc. All I need is the bag, reinstall and away I go. the first 3 weeks of june were going to be vacation time and the bags were going to play a role in keeping the RV level..:(

Thanks for any info and help.

Ouch! That sucks!

I don't have any advice except to call them in the morning and then please keep us posted on how things turn out.

Got ahold of sales yesterday. He said he'd send another one out. I'm going to double check today.

Thanks for the info.

I installed an exhaust brake for a customer. One of the tests is to charge the system and wait like 15 minutes and the compressor should never run after fully charged. Well I found a pin hole leak in the air tank weld. They sent me out a new tank and didnt even want the old one back.

Talk to Doug in sales. He said he sent the part out yesterday and it should be here by friday. If its here Friday, I'll be a happy camper !!!!

Just a suggestion to everyone. Think about what you say about a vendor before posting. Title of this gets read over and over and it can give some the wrong impression about a company.

PacBrake is a good company and they advertise on this web site. That does not give them a pass but it should give them the benefit of the doubt as any company should get. If they don't take care of you then later "rip" with a list of facts.

All just my humble opinion.

Cummins12v98, I posted like this for a reason. I had never heard or recall any post with defective items from PACBRAKE. I wanted input ASAP. I thought maybe the supplier( never used them before-but were $40 cheaper + free shipping then my usual supplier) had sent me some bogus knock off stuff.

As it turns out, its a stand up company and the customer service is second to none. I waited to post my end results finding after seeing what the response was to my defective part. Doug took care of the issue RIGHT away once he got my info, receipt, address etc. I just got UPS confirmation that the part will be here thursday, not Friday as he thought. So he even beat his own estimate.

Have no fear if you purchase PACBRAKE components. If something is not right, they will make it right in a hurry.
