I installed the Skyjacker dual steering damper on my 2002 3500. These are in-line opposing each other. The install was OK, except the center bracket clamps didn't fit around my front axle tube. I called Skyjacker and asked what's wrong, and they said I have a rare military style axle (3. 75" diameter) and the only way to mount the bracket is to weld it. I had some extra clamps from an Airlift kit so I used them with great success.

This setup is sweet. Really smooths out front steering.

BTW: I posted question about rare military style Dana 60s being used in our trucks.

The instructions list it's for '98 to '01 Ram 2500/3500s and the pictures match. I thought Dodge went indepedent front suspension on the 1500s. Can't say for sure, but my modified brackets worked fine and there's no interference. The center bracket mounts to the center of the front axle tube.

BTW: I would buy this setup again, even knowing what I know about it. It makes a big difference.
