I am VERY glad I didn't go with the standard box!:D

No clutch slippage in any settings. Smoked a ton in the 60hp setting upon initial hammering.

I have a place outside my office where I test speeds etc. With my stock truck I could hit 91. With the AFE TT, HTBG turbo, ATS manifold and straight pipe I could hit 94-95. With the Quad on the 60hp setting I hit 105. Pretty happy with that.

I can not believe how linear this thing is. You bolt on 100+ hp to a car and it will amaze you. At first I thought I forgot to run power to the box  but the mph said otherwise.

When I turned the box off, I thought something broke :-laf

In the 140hp setting I can get real close to 1500* pre-turbo in 6th at 100+ mph.

In the 60hp setting it never cleared 1300*

Pretty happy, but I need more:( It never ends. .

Oh yeah, install time - 18 minutes.

Installed the standard box today.

I also thought it would have a stronger hit on the bottom. The power is there, but seems to come on the hardest at the 2000+ rpm mark.

I guess I was just looking for a little more low end hit.

Me too!!! I just upgraded from the standard to the race box.

All I have to say is

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH BOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!! :D

Ahem. I mean, what a pair of boxes Quad has come up with!

Butter-smooth idle, and the SOP dyno says the race box hauls arse! It definitely seems to come on stronger on the 60 setting than the standard box.

The only thing I miss (but it's not a bad thing) is the 30 setting, only because it was close enough to stock, but made my exhaust sound authoritative right off the bottom. Stock the truck sounds wimpy until about 2000 rpm where the motor decides to fuel. On the 30 setting I could be loud but not be blasting around town. 60 is great, but I have to get used to driving with it again (after having no box for two weeks)

Good puff of smoke with a six-speed too, but it cleans up instantly with boost.

On the 140 I barely got to 1300, but I had to back out of it. I was going uphill on a long on-ramp and hit 90, but there was too much traffic to do any more EGT research :-laf

More low end kills trannies and other stock parts. We can make more low end, but I wanted power without carnage if at all possible.

If you want gut wrenching, transmission breaking, smoke belching power..... Stay Tuned!

I do want gut wrenching, transmission breaking, smoke belching power! I've got the setup to take it so are you talking an upgrade to the race box or a whole new animal?

Richard

I'd be happy with smoke:D

Interesting observation, when I first installed the box I drove to the main road with everything off. I switched to the 60HP setting, nailed it through 6th and in 2, 3, and 4 it smoked like an old 12v, then cleaned up. From then on, very little smoke in any setting.

My mileage is way up to (less than 100miles on it, but the fuel gauge drop doesn't seem as signifigant.

We'll see though.

The linear feel is very deceiving. I left a guy in an f-350 CC 4x4 with the 6. 0 wondering if he had a lemon last night:D

Maybe that is what I was talking about. Seemed to come on slow.

My last truck was a 99 F250 with a Western Diesel chip. It was only a 50hp chip, but came on strong (and smoke) with the touch of the pedal and changed the shifting pattern some.

I prefer the linear response of the truck.

It allows the use of cruise control, even at the 100 setting. I still have to figure out if that setting gives the best mileage. I'm thinking it might, as cruise boost numbers seem slightly lower.

Pretty much. My 00 powerstroke with Diablo 137hp chip felt like it was very snappy. This truck is as smooth as a 20 year old co-ed with a fresh wax job. The thing I need to be careful about is expecting to be at 70 and looking down to see 90 :-laf
