whats the trick on adapting a nv 4500 to a 93 12V??

I *think* the only trick is finding the correct spline adapter and trans to t-case adpater.



Then again, I don't know the manuals all that well. Lots have done it and if you search you will get some good reading.

Upgrading Trans !

When I did mine, I called Blumenthals (referred from this site) they shipped exactly what I needed for a very competitive price (compared to others at the time) and have never looked back. I had been looking at a rebuild of the Getrag at a shop in AZ and ended up spending half the money including what I paid a shop to do the R & R for me.

converting from gutragg to nv4500

To do the conversion, you'll need a bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, transmission, transfercase adapter(If 4x4), and crossmember mount adapter. I used all mine from a donor truck, got the t-case adapter from Bluenthal's, and made my own crossmember mount. I also had to redo the driveshafts. If you can't do it yourself, Blumenthal's is a great source for parts. And if you live close to Oklahoma City, they'll do it for you.
