Archived Installing Abbot ratio box

I was going to install my abbot ratio box today to correct my speedo and odo. Where can I find instructions specific to our diesels. This is goning on my 98 12V. 5spd. Thanks alot. Basically I need to know the color of the VSS wires and what each one is... I know where they are but not what color is which. . If I havent confused anyone yet. Ideally I would like to install it right up on the firewall by the pcm but I don't know if this will work. .

I bought my Abbott from Rickson's (19. 5's) and they sent very good instructions. I installed my first Abbott under the hood as you suggest and it failed after 50,000 miles or so. Rickson replaced it immediately. no questions asked, just good service.



During the process of fine tuning the 2nd one, I went to Abbott's website (good info) and called them. They were very helpful and suggested it would be best to mount it inside the cab. So it's on the firewall behind the brake pedal; just used some super wide velcro.



I will see if I can find my notes on the wiring. In the meantime call Rickson's or go to the Abbott website.
