Installing Aftermarket auto dimming mirror

Has anybody purchased the auto dimming mirror, seperately from purchasing their truck?



We picked up the wifes 04 yesterday and they had no trucks on the lot with this option. She is really wanting this, but I can not seem to find out about the wiring for installing this. Is the wiring already done and located above the headliner, or is it a complete install? Also, does anybody have any idea on how much this mirror is aftermarket?

I'm wanting one also, the best price I've found is 105. 00. I don't know about the 04's, but the wireing is folded up by the OH console under the head liner on my 03. 2000 thru 2003 mirrors have the same plug. If you find a good buy let me know, I'll take one to.

I got mine for 90 bucks when I bought the truck. Just plugs right in to the harness and bolts to the windshield mount.



Very easy to do.

The wire was there on my 03. I went to a salvage yard and got one for 25 dallars. they are the same as the dakota and the darango not sure about the cars.

Are there any special tricks to pulling down the headliner?



I'm kind of bummed that my owners manual doesn't have that page in it to order the service manual, so I have a call into Chrysler about purchasing one. Meanwhile, I'm playing this all one step at a time.
