Can you guys tell me how long this is gonna take for someone very mechanically inclined? A very good mechanic friend of mine is installing mine.

I just went through the entire front end. Uppers lowers inners outers. New stabilizer and hub assemblies. Only thing i didnt do is the sway bar. Got all of it done at under 1800. I didnt do any of the labor. I think the most expensive single piece was the track bar.

On a side note. I had the right inner axle seal replaced about 4k ago now my 4x4 is iffy at best. Now it wont go in at all. Although that is better than it popping in and out and wiping out the diff. Can you guys lend me assistance in how to fix it?

Any tips on installing a new limited slip? I bought a powertrax. I was looking at the detroit gearless but was sure it would detonate the first time I rompt on it.

track bar install

It took me a couple of hours. The hardest thing was getting the drill in straight to drill the holes. The other thing is on mine they sent one wrong bolt. I was able to put another bolt in place until they shipped the correct one. Dan

There is vacuum. The diaphrams do not seem to work properly.

I recall that the mechanic that installed the inner axle seal removed the actuator. So I guess I will go talk to the mechanic. See if he will accept responsibility.

A mechanic friend did mine in under and hour. Hour and a half with the alignment. Said it was about the same as installing a skyjacker drop bracket in terms of difficulty but I have not install one of those either.

The DT bracket can be tricky

When I did mine this Fall, it took me a few minutes to convince myself I had the bracket set-up correctly and in the right place. Once I was sure it was properly located the rest went easy. I'd say about 1. 5 to 2 hours for the job with a good 20 or 30 minutes of it studying the bracket. I wanted to be sure before I hole-sawed two holes in a frame cross member. What surprised me was the ease of centering the axle. I did the levelling springs at the same time and the axle was off to one side pretty good. I was dreading centering the assembly. No problem. Had it within a 1/16" side to side in about 3 minutes. You will enjoy accurate steering, especially if your truck is like mine and its been getting gradually worse over time.

Im replacing the track bar just cause. Everything else is new so I might as well do it all. It has driven straight the whole time. Now it stops straight too, Since I removed the abs relay. As time goes by I eliminate one problem after another. When I have the last one fixed the truck will die. LOL. I love this truck and although it has a few quirks. Ive never owned a vehicle that didnt have a little character. I would definitely buy another if I knew that dc would warranty it if it had a failure. Im not so sure right now if they would. Look what they did to whiteknights dad. Thats bs.

dt trac bar

I put one on mine this summer, didn`t hole saw the cross member.

I welded the new bracket to the already plated frame from the factory track bar. I really like it.
