Archived installing fass

i am trying to install a fass fuel system, went through the directions followed them ... ..... got to the end it says the bleed the system and to use the owners manual..... did that just like i have done in the past when changing the fuel filters... ... . primed it by bumping the started like 20 times the truck tryed to start, it ran for like 3 seconds and then cut off.



what now?



i took off the fuel line comming from the fass and going into the injection pump and bumped the starter, got an *** load of fuel with just alittle bit of air, so i know its not the fass pump.



have i run the injection pump out of fuel?



do i have to bleed at the injectors?



help the new guy !

you might crack the feed lines you can get to and crank it till you get some wet. tighten them down and try again. sounds like you may have a small slug of air.

ok i got it, tightened up the filter on the fass, bumped the starter 2 more times and then on the third turn i just let it crank, it sputtered and fired right up, i think i has just being a puss and not letting it crank too long.



subconsciously i just did not want to mess up the 5000 dollar engine
