Installing OEM Back Up Camera in my 2015 Ram 1500! Need help and Advice!

Hi. I bought the MOPAR kit to install the back up camera in my new 2015 RAM 1500 ecodiesel. I have a factory 8.4A/RA3 radio stock. A lot of wire work and trying how to unplug the electrical connectors to do it. All done.
Now if I could get it programmed! I made an appointment with a dealer 25 min away. I show up early and they tell me they can't do it today because they don't show me on the books!
I'v called the local Ram dealer in Vancouver, WA two days ago they would get right back. Haven't heard a word yet! Damn them both!
I see on Youtube that if you hold both the hot and cold heater temp buttons for five seconds with engine running, you'll go into a program mode. Anybody do this? Can I turn on the camera or GPS there? I had asked also to turn on Factory GPS in their quote but I guess the two dealers don't want my business! Can a non Ram/Dodge dealer program this for me? I'm not a bad guy, but they are bad dealers.
Any advice is appreciated other than buy another truck! Thanks, Herb

The option code must be added to the corporate data base,then the new configuration is downloaded to the truck,Sorry I don't know any way to shortcut it

He's right the factory computer needs to be told that you've installed a new option then it will send the turn on code to your truck through the dealer's computer. It's a pain but should you ever have a computer system crash, say a lightning strike, all your trucks info is stored at RAM's headquarters and can be up loaded into the new computer. We've had this system with Volvo Penta marine for years it's nice when you'r boat gets that lightning strike and you can get your system re flashed and everything that you had before the strike is as it was.
