Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) installing pyro sender

I have a 98. 5 or 99 with a pyro gauge already. The sending unit is in the exhaust manifold at the collection point for cylinders 456.



I'm putting in an Edge Juice unit, and they show the sending unit in the collector for runners 456. Is there any reason why I shouldn't leave my analog gauge alone and put their sender in the manifold at the collector for cylinders 123?

4,5,6, will run hotter so thats why they want you to put it in on that side, you can run your edge on that side and run your gage on the exhaust outlit of turbo and read pre and post readings.

I have noticed that with my edge there is a difference of about 150 degrees with my autometer phantom II makes me wonder which one is actually lying.

what good would putting in a post turbo pyro be? Just to see the heat soak for myself?

Call Edge and talk to them. In some cases, the same pyrometer (sending unit -- thermocouple) can drive multiple devices.
